Temporary suspension of Paraguayan exports
JBS S.A. informs its shareholders and the market in general that, due to the confirmation of an outbreak of FMD (Foot and Mouth Disease) in
Paraguay and the local Government's decision to temporarily suspend exports of beef, the Company's operations in the country will be dedicated
entirely to the domestic market while these restrictions on foreign sales persist. Customers currently served by exports from operations in
Paraguay will be attended by business units located in other countries with no interruptions in supply.
JBS has two beef slaughter and deboning units in Paraguay and sales from there represent less than 1% of the Company's global revenue.
Strategically, the Company has diversified its operations worldwide, thus avoiding risks or damages arising from regional animal health issues.
The Company has manufacturing units in nine countries and is able to access all consumer markets from its global base of 134 production units.
