JBS Appoints Tomazoni President of its Global Poultry Business
JBS SA ("Company") communicates to its shareholders and to the market in general the hiring of Gilberto Tomazoni. He will take charge of the
company's global operations in the poultry business from March 07th, 2013 onwards and will report directly to Mr. Wesley Mendonça Batista,
global CEO of JBS S.A. His primarily goal will be to strategically position the company in this market.
Tomazoni has extensive experience and knowledge of the food industry. He worked for 27 years at Sadia S.A., four of which as CEO, where
he participated actively in the company's internationalization and in the development of its brands in Brazil and abroad. During the past three
years he served as vice president of Bunge Alimentos, managing the business of food and ingredients, accumulating the position of executive
director for Central and South America.
Gilberto Tomazoni graduated as a mechanical engineer at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, with postgraduate studies in management
development. He began his career as a trainee at Sadia in Concordia (SC) in 1982. Throughout his career, he went through several roles,
including project engineer, head of maintenance, plant manager and director of pork operations. In 1997, he developed Sadia's strategic plan and
led the poultry operations, accelerating the process of internationalization of the company. In 2001, Tomazoni also became responsible for
marketing, sales and logistics of all products in Brazil. Finally, in 2005, he was appointed president of the company, a position he retained until
2009.

States, Brazil, Mexico and Puerto Rico and exports to over 100 countries.
